creating a Group email

Question

In Office 365 outlook I would like to create a group email but the group option under file is greyed out also the contact button is not available. I a, inn my home and I have not it person to contact.
How can I get access to this option?

Do you have New Outlook switched on? You need to create Contact groups in the On My Computer folders, which are not supported in New Outlook. If you aren't using the New Outlook, go into Preferences > General and enable Show On My Computer folders.

I am not using the new outlook My version 16.52 and since I hav office 365 it gets update automatically. I dod go to preferences and click the button for  Show On My Computer folders. Shut down my Mac and then opened up outlook and the Options for Group and contact list are still grayed out. I am the administrator of this Mac. so I don't know why this is not working>

What type of email account do you have configured in Outlook? POP, IMAP, Outlook.com, or Microsoft Exchange?

If 'on my computer' is enabled, contact list command should be available.

Group is an Office 365 mailbox option only - not for IMAP. Contact list (formerly known as distribution list) should be available for all account types.

I am using Outlook as part of Office 365 and my mail account is Imap.

So how do I create a mailing list so I can correspond with several people at one time

I'm not able to repro it - even with just 1 IMAP account - as long as I have the On My Computer folders, I can create a Contact list.

Do you have the Address list folder in the On My Computer folder?
