Changing font and contrast for entire inbox in Outlook (Microsoft 365) due to low vision

Hi,

My employer recently changed our platform to Microsoft 365.  As a result, the Outlook has become nearly unusable for me.  I have a great amount of difficulty reading email.  The background color of the inbox is not white, and the font is a light grey.  This combination makes it very, very hard to read.

I have attempted to manipulate settings both on the application and the web browser without success.  I have tried this on our Mac desktop, a Macbook pro, and a PC.

The black background does not help at all.  I need a plain, white background with black font.

Is the only option to purchase a different form of Outlook?  Please help!

    Hello SDC51,

Glad to assist you here. Regarding your concerns, please kindly open Outlook and go to File > Office Account to set the Office Themeto White to see if this can meet your demands.

In the meantime, in Outlook, it is supported to customize the fonts, for more detailed instructions and steps, here is an article for your reference: Create, change, or customize a view

Besides, you can also do the following steps to set up conditional formatting rules to change the font, size and color for unread/read emails in the Inbox folder and see if it helps:

    1. In Outlook, click on the inbox folder of your account, then go to the View ribbon, click the button View Settings:

    1. Click "Conditional Formatting", "Add", enter the name of the new rule, click Font to set the font, size, color according to your demands.
    2. Then click “Condition”, “More Choices”, select the checkbox before “Only items that are”, then select “Unread”, click OK.
    3. Repeat steps 2 & 3 to create a new rule for all read emails, then check the results.

Hope above methods are helpful for your problem. If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact us.

    Best regards,

    Jennifer

Thank you for replying!  I tried all three things and none worked.  Mainly because I think that my employer has blocked these options, or I am using a different form of Outlook.365

I do not have the same options when I click on View or File.

When I click on "File", options include: New Window, Close Window, Save Page as, and Print.

I do not have any ribbons, or View ribbons.

When I click on "Settings", options include Reload, Zoom in/Out, Developer, and Actual Size and Exit Full Screen.

This is when I use the Outlook app (on macbook pro).

At the top of my outlook page, options from left to right inclue:

    Outlook

    File

    Edit

    View

    History

    Window

    Please, help....
