How to print multiple attachments in an email without opening them or saving them - Office 365

Is there a way to print multiple attachments in an email without having the following popup come up:

I know how to print all the attachments by going to File - Print - Print options - Ticking print attached files. But I don't want to save these files and opening the files just wastes time when I have to close them all and I might as well just print them 1 by 1. Is there anyway to get around this popup and just have all the attachments print without needing to open them or save them.

We understand that you want to print an attachment on the email without opening or saving them. Let’s check on this together and find ways to address this matter.

    Email message attachments can be printed without opening the file. Attachments can be printed from an open message window or from the Reading Pane. If a message has multiple attachments, you can choose to print one or all of the attachments.

    Print an attachment

    To print an attachment from an open message or the Reading Pane, do the following: ( double click on the email first to open on another window)

    • Click the attachment icon below the message header, and then click Attachments
    • In the Actions group, click Quick Print.

    To print attachments when you print a message, first ensure that the Print attached files option is selected. After this setting is turned on, it remains on until you turn it off.

    1. In the message list, click the message that has attachments that you want to print.
    2. Click the File tab.
    3. Click Print.
    4. Under Printer, click Print Options.
    5. In the Print dialog box, under Print Options, select the Print attached files check box. File attachment print options in the Print dialog box

    Notes:

    • Attachments print only to the default printer. For example, if printer A is the default, and you choose to print a message that has an attachment on printer B, the message prints on printer B, but the attachment prints on printer A. If you want to send the attachment to a specific printer, double-click the attachment to open it, and then in the program that opens the attachment, use the print command.
    • Some attached files must be opened before they can be printed. For these types of files, Outlook will prompt you to open or save the attachment before it prints. Select Open. You will need to close the attachment file manually after printing.

    Hi Juhn,

    I don't have an option to Quick print in the Actions Group. See below:

    The second step you have listed I already did and it presents me the pop up box shown in my first post.

    Hi Juhn,

    I'm on 365 for Business.

    I managed to do it the way you have specified before I posted my question. My issue is when you do this, it pops up asking if you want to save the document or open it.

    The scenario is, a user receives an email with 10 Excel spreadsheets attached for example. I select all the attachments and do the following:

    1. Click the File tab.
    2. Click Print.
    3. Under Printer, click Print Options.
    4. In the Print dialog box, under Print Options, select the Print attached files check box.

    But before each print it pops up with the following pop up:

    If I open the document or save it, it does print and moves onto the next attachment where this pop up box appears again. It does this every time until all are printed.

    What I want to know is if there is a way to print those 10 Excel spreadsheets without having to open them or save them. Doing it the way you have said just gives me the "Opening Mail Attachment" pop up. I'm guessing these spreadsheets are the ones that must be opened before they can be printed like you said in your first reply. Is there away around that?

    • What edition of Outlook you’re using? (ex. Microsoft 365 Family/Personal or Microsoft 365 for Business/Enterprise). Please follow the screenshot I have provided below.

    If you don't have a quick print showing you can proceed on the other way around in printing attachments. Please see instructions below.

    1. In the message list, click the message that has attachments that you want to print.
    2. Click the File tab.
    3. Click Print.
    4. Under Printer, click Print Options.
    5. In the Print dialog box, under Print Options, select the Print attached files check box. File attachment print options in the Print dialog box
