Can’t login into Outlook.com from Android phone with Yubikey

My Outlook account was setup with Yubikey a year ago. Login from desktop Windows is easy.

Today I tried logging in from my Android phone. I tried Edge browser, Chrome browser, and Outlook app. None of them offer security key as a login option. How to login in with a security key?

Android version 10; Build QPGS30.82-141-10; Security patch level Oct 1, 2021

Thanks.

    Hello.

Just to be clear, I'm not locked out of my account. I can sign-in from any Windows browser with my security key. The problem is signing in from my Android phone with my security key.

    Onto the pictures:

For comparison, this is how I sign-in from a Windows browser.

Note the sign-in page offers "Sign in with a security key".

Thank you for providing us screenshot and comparison of how you sign in on your account using a PC and mobile device. This is a system limitation concern.

Please know that sign in with a security key is only available when using a desktop or laptop.

Your patience and understanding with regard to this concern is highly appreciated.

In case you have any other Microsoft related concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out back to us.

My Google account was also configured to login with my Yubikey. I had to plug the same key into my Android phone to get my Gmail. This sounds like a Microsoft limitation, more than a system limitation.
