We have several instances of the following error presenting itself in Outlook. It is affecting a wide range of different office suites. We have rebuilt indexing locally and on the exchange servers. That did not resolve the issue. Could you provide some guidance? This appears to be a widespread problem. Thank you,

Is there an update on this issue yet? I would like to have a proper resolution rather than implementing work arounds.

Agreed with the above, search is broken with outlook using search with one mailbox. Any search outside of the locally cache'd results gives us this error.

I agree with BrandonMenasco, there is only one mailbox in the majority of the cases I've taken a look at with this issue.

The answer provided was not the cause of this issue.

You have tried everything we have. The best workaround is the DisableServerAssisteSearch registry value. Here is a link that references that registry entry: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/outlook-global-customer-service/how-outlook-2016-utilizes-exchange-server-2016-fast-search/ba-p/381195
