I got this email-

I COLLECTED EVERYTHING!

Hello there!

Unfortunately, there are some bad news for you.

Some time ago your device was infected with my private trojan, R.A.T (Remote Administration Tool), if you want to find out more about it simply use Google. My trojan allows me to access your accounts, files, everything.

Check the sender of this email, I have sent it from your email account.

I collected all your files, accounts, everything, I know about your NASTY ACTIVITIES, you know exactly what I mean. If you still doubt my serious intentions, it only takes couple mouse clicks to publish everything, to share everything with your friends, relatives, all email contacts, on social networks and the darknet. All you need is $1400 USD in Bitcoin (BTC) transfer to my account (Bitcoin equivalent based on exchange rate during your transfer). After the transaction is successful, I will proceed to delete everything without delay. Afterwards, we can pretend that we have never met before. Be sure, I keep my promises! If you are unaware how to buy and send Bitcoin (BTC) - Google: Where to buy Bitcoin (BTC), to send and receive Bitcoin (BTC), you can register your wallet for example here: www.blockchain.com My Bitcoin (BTC) address is: 1EJJoUCykyZT3FtxRGSpuUsiBxCiHQ4wqX Yes, that's how the address looks like, copy and paste my address, it's (cAsE-sEnSEtiVE).

You are given not more than 48 hours after you have opened this email (2 days to be precise). Everything will be carried out based on fairness!

An advice from me - regularly change all your passwords to your accounts and update your device with newest security patches.

    Hello Sumit,

Thank you for coming to the forum. My name is Fuad, and I'm happy to help you in the best way I can. Note, I am a user like you, this is a user forum and not Microsoft directly.

There is no way we can know if your mail or computer has been compromised or not. Remember, this is a user forum and we are users like you. Even if I am beside you, there is no way to know.

Mails like this are sometimes SPAM (because I have seen mails like this before), and I will advise you not to reply or click anything in such mails.

If someone has actually got your files, they will send you a sample of what they have, and not play on your guilt by saying, "you know exactly what I mean."

    So do not engage.

For your safety: I will strongly recommend setting up two-factor authentication. It's an extra layer of security for your account. To enable it, just follow this link: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=529561. And if you want some step-by-step guidance, use this guide here: https://support.microsoft.com/help/33452159-6af9-438f-8f82-63ce94cf3d29.

Not just for your email, but for all your accounts outside Microsoft, your socials and others should have two-factor enabled.

If there is anything else on this subject you have a question on, do let me know. If not, have a wonderful rest of your day.

    Best Regards Fuad

This is a scam, I've gotten at least a half dozen. You are undoubtedly not "hacked", please don't click anything and delete the email. As to the email coming from you to you, this is address spoofing, a scam that has been used for years.

Hello there! Unfortunately, there are some bad news for you. Some time ago your device was infected with my private trojan, R.A.T (Remote Administration Tool), if you want to find out more about it simply use Google. My trojan allowed me to access your files, accounts and your camera. Check the sender of this email, I have sent it from your email account. To make sure you read this email, you will receive it multiple times. You truly enjoy checking out porn websites and watching dirty videos, while having a lot of kinky fun. I RECORDED YOU (through your camera) SATISFYING YOURSELF! After that I removed my malware to not leave any traces. If you still doubt my serious intentions, it only takes couple mouse clicks to share the video of you with your friends, relatives, all email contacts, on social networks, the darknet and to publish all your files. All you need is $900 USD in Bitcoin (BTC) transfer to my account. After the transaction is successful, I will proceed to delete everything. Be sure, I keep my promises. You can easily buy Bitcoin (BTC) here: https://cex.io/buy-bitcoins **** https://nexo.com/buy-crypto/bitcoin-btc **** https://bitpay.com/buy-bitcoin/?crypto=BTC **** https://paybis.com/ **** https://invity.io/buy-crypto Or simply google other exchanger. After that send the Bitcoin (BTC) directly to my wallet, or install the free software: Atomicwallet, or: Exodus wallet, then receive and send to mine. My Bitcoin (BTC) address is: 19WDuugpByHmmWxPQRjT61Jpb6fcJfHrqt Yes, that's how the address looks like, copy and paste my address, it's (cAsE-sEnSEtiVE). You are given not more than 3 days after you have opened this email. As I got access to this email account, I will know if this email has already been read. Everything will be carried out based on fairness. An advice from me, regularly change all your passwords to your accounts and update your device with newest security patches.

I got this same stupid message, which was also sent to me FROM ME somehow....

I KNOW this is a scam, mainly because a Remote Server Administration Tool cannot be installed remotely on a computer, you have to provide a WEALTH of permissions, etcetera, plus even if it was there it could not activate your camera and record anything.

Besides the fact that I am 50 years old, and my Porn Surfing days are ANCIENT HISTORY!!

DO NOT GIVE THIS CRIMINAL ANYTHING THEY ARE JUST FISHING FOR IDIOTS!!
