Work emails showing up with a black background

Hi,

Emails that previously had a white background have turned black, they randomly change between white and black for all the users that have access to the inbox.

They were all white up until last week and now all the ones in the inbox from the same source have turned black.

Is this an outlook issue?

Thank you

In my case the back background started to appear only in email messages received from just one specific sender. Here I send you the message, from which I only removed the written words and subject for my privacy leaving the html tags intact: https://drive.google.com/file/d/10uADR5oGu0eXKeT1XI-Z1u1s6Pnmgb_8/view?usp=sharing

The message was downloaded directly from this web client: https://outlook.live.com/mail/0/

    Hi all,

The only active Outlook bug that causes a black background is with base64 encoded images. That bug is active and being investigated. Whether this is the issue you are seeing or not it would help us investigate if you could open an Outlook In App ticket, (Help, Contact Support). Please provide support a sample of the message that has the black background. Only M365 Office Subscription has In App support so why you will not see it if you have Office Perpetual.

A way to test this would be to change the Office Theme.  In Outlook Colorful Theme the png image background displays as black. In Outlook Dark mode, the image background display as white.

Are you able to confirm if the emails you are sending have base64 encoded images?

Our incident has not recurred since a 2-day email test and blast two weeks ago.
