It does not delete it permanently. I used to delete a message it goes to recover item folder then I click the recover item and permanently delete. Now it just goes back and forth from delete folder to recover item folder. If I delete the message it goes to recover item and when I delete the recover item, it still shows in recover item but not deleted. I have been doing this back and forth for 2 hours now. Thanks for your response, appreciate it.
Ah... so delete isn't working. This definitely should not be happening if you click Delete -

Instead of clicking the Delete button, press Delete on your keyboard. Does that make a difference?
If you select just a few do they delete and stay deleted?

I tried to do that too, but it kept going back to recover item folder. This is sucks, I don't know why Microsoft change it. l rather let me the one deleting all my files in recover item. Now it's sitting in the recover item, and I don't when these files will be permanently deleted. I will just make a folder for deleted files just to be safe. Thanks so much for your response, appreciate it so much
