Stop invites automatically adding onto the calendar

Hello,

I have a rule set up for an external calendar to notify me when another event is added. However each one of those emails comes attached with an invite, which automatically adds to my outlook calendar.

Is there a way to stop this from happening? Not just from this one email but any event invitation that it doesn't appear in my calendar until I accept?

Microsoft Moderator. I have been doing everything that you recommended for over a year. All my adjustments are in line with your recommendations. Nothing seems to work except when I find the originating email ... I delete it ... and I empty the folder ... and I purge the email so it cannot be recovered.

TODAY< HOWEVER> ... that solution does not work ... and the invitation persists in my Outlook calendar ... even though the originating email can no longer be found.

    THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

IF YOU DO NOT REPAIR THIS PROBLEM AND FIND A WAY FOR ME TO PREVENT EVERY INVITATION FROM GETTING ON TO MY CALENDAR, THEN I WILL HAVE TO STOP USING OUTLOOK MAIL AND OUTLOOK CALENDAR. You guys are not the only servers in town.

Again, Microsoft took it upon itself to interfere with personal settings. I should not have to opt-out but should be able to opt in for their "innovations"! Back to old outlook.

Why is this setting called "Automatically process meeting requests and responses to meeting requests and polls"?

This implies that automatic responses to invitations are sent, which I believe is not the case. Or is it?

    Please clarify.

If its an event with a time rather than all day it will even remind me even if i haven't accepted it.
