Hello,

I have managed to install Windows 11 successfully in a VirtualBox VM in my system.

Here are the specs of my kit: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/dT7TwP

I then wanted to upgrade also my physical machine to Windows 11. TPM is supported, Secure boot is enabled so the wizard told me that I am good to go.

Although the system goes through the upgrade process, during reboot it seems to have an issue that partains to the boot directory.

I am asked to select keyboard and even if I do, and select to log on to windows I am logged on to Windows 10.

The issue is similar to this (on windows 10):

I am wondering if the issue occurs because my boot drive is actually Hardware AMD RAID 0 drive and not a single, conventional, drive.

Thank you for your reply - I am trying it out as I write this note.

    An interesting point.

Inspite of stopping the four services, I am getting access denied when trying to rename these two folders.

Both the windows update and the cryptographic service seem to have restarted between the time I stopped them and issuing the instruction to rename the two folders.

For good measure I have booted my windows with base video:

I am sorry but there was no luck with your suggested approach. Actually, I think I have cleared my windows update catalogue in my previous attempts as well.

Is there something else I can try? Would you like to get any of the logs that will make you understand the true cause of the issue? Actually, the logging of the update is so poor that I cannot make sense of it.

Does anyone have any updates on this problem as my machine with similar specs (R9-5900x X570, and Raid 0 nvme’s) and is having the same problem upgrading to windows 11 almost 6 months later. I have tried all the common update error fixes and nothing changes. I'm pretty sure I'll have to do a clean install when I'm ready.
