How to stop hundreds of spam.emails every day. Virus threats, p

Fake prizes, unwanted ads Etc Etc Etc . Stressful to delete or block every single one, as they just reappear. I need to speak with someone who can guide me through the process of stopping them, as the explanations given are ( for me) far too complicated.

    Hi ELBEE,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for the inconveniences,

To reduce the amount of junk mail you receive, you can try the following tips:

    • Use the Junk Email Filter in Outlook. Outlook has a built-in feature that automatically evaluates incoming messages and sends those identified as spam to the Junk Email folder. You can adjust the level of protection of the filter by going to Home > Junk > Junk E-mail Options.
    • Block or allow specific senders or domains. You can create a list of email addresses or domains that you want to block or allow in Outlook. This will override the Junk Email Filter and prevent or allow messages from those senders or domains to reach your inbox. You can do this by going to Home > Junk > Junk E-mail Options > Blocked Senders or Safe Senders.
    • Report junk mail to Microsoft. You can help Microsoft improve the Junk Email Filter by reporting junk mail that you receive. You can do this by selecting the junk mail and clicking Home > Junk > Report Junk or Report Phishing. This will send the message to Microsoft for analysis and also move it to the Junk Email folder.
    • Limit the places where you post your email address. Be cautious about posting your email address on public websites, such as newsgroups, chat rooms, bulletin boards, and so on. Spammers can use programs that scan the web for email addresses and add them to their mailing lists. When visiting public sites, you might want to use a different email address from your main one.
    • Review the privacy policies of websites. When you sign up for online services, products, or newsletters, review the privacy policy of the website carefully before you reveal your email address or other personal information. Look for a section that explains how your personal information will be used and whether it will be shared or sold to third parties. If the website does not have a clear privacy policy, consider not using its services.

Let me know if this helps or if you need further assistance.

    Regards, Sola

I am in the same boat and i can tell you Microsoft couldn't care less about it. it's been years of nothing done. i have successfully stopped all other spams except the ones coming from microsoft servers. I've even had to resort to automating my responses so i didn't have to waste all day pleading for them to do something. here is one of many:

This illegal attempt to steal money and information has been recorded and cataloged. Your servers: 40.107, 40.92, 52.100, 4.??, 20.?? have been sending me daily spam for over 2 years now. Doing nothing about it has led to blacklisting of many microsoft servers by spam-cop and others. I will continue to send every spam from your servers back to you and many others(FTC, Spam.org etc) to try and combat this criminal activity. The full email is attached as a plain txt file.

here's a short and sweet one:

A criminal is using your microsoft servers to steal money and information. Full email is attached as txt. Spam.org and many others have also been notified. Please take measures to stop this illegal activity.

of course none of these will get microsoft to stop anything. after a deep dive i realized that they make money from the person using their servers for illegal activity so they don't care. Money is king and they have so many lawyers they don't care how many vulnerable people get scammed as long as they get paid. my current up to date list of places to forward the scam email is:

    abuse@microsoft.com
    cert@microsoft.com
    ******@outlook.com
    ******@office365.microsoft.com
******@apwg.org - this is the ftc.gov(they don't do anything either)
    ******@antiphishing.org
    ******@phishing.gov.uk
    ******@us-cert.gov

this also has not stopped it.

Microsoft is obviously very powerful and unfortunately the only way to stop getting spam from microsoft is to switch to gmail. something i can never do but many have.

I have the same issue and it seems as tho some legal action should be able to be taken against Microsoft for their dereliction of duty to stop the spam. At every turn trying to report the spam, nothing happens and then when you do things they tell you to do those cases are closed with a message they could not verify. Well, when we send the raw source code and upload a copy of the offending email what else do you need? All the other services seem to handle the issue with that information why not Microsoft? I too have recorded it all in SpamCop and will continue to do so. Since I am not the only one with this issue maybe some sort of class action needs to be looked into because this is ridiculous. Just in the last couple of days, I have spam from:

    40.107.93.118
    40.107.100.104
    40.107.237.130
    52.101.56.18
    40.107.94.93
    40.107.212.105
    40.107.237.94
    40.107.117.123
    40.107.93.132
    40.107.93.130
    40.107.117.136

These all track back to Microsoft and these responsible parties who never answer emails or do anything to fix the issue.

The problem is that block doesn't actually mean block. Block should stop them from sitting anywhere in my email account. Block only means they either sit in my spam folder or my deleted folder. There should be a way to bounce them back or simply ignore, so they arent in my account at all!

When I try to stop frequent spam they all have the same title but come from rogue address/domains. If I could block emails by their subject or other words that should do the trick. Can Microsoft add this feature?
