Stuck in an authenticator app loop
Hi there
I am logged into my outlook account (via Godaddy) and I am trying to change my security info in the account section. When I click security info, it says I need to authenticate via the authenticator app. When I open the authenticator app, I am asked to add my account to the app, and when I try to do this, the authenticator app tells me I need to verify using the authenticator app..therefore stuck in a loop with no other options to verify myself.

2024-04-07T15:12:11+00:00 I finally fixed this issue on my phone by going into my Microsoft 365 settings (on my laptop) and deleting out my old phone. That let me start fresh with my new phone. I think what was happening before is Authenticator was sending numbers to my old phone, which I couldn't access. Hope that helps.

2024-04-11T09:39:54+00:00 The same thing worked for me. I went in to my profile settings in Office365 and set up a new authenticator method which let me scan a QR code with my new phone.
