HP G6 800 systems come with M.2 SSD's. Client does not want SSD for a server. Removed M.2 drive, installed SATA drives. Booted to USB to install OS, got to screen asking where to install OS and there are no drives showing.

Rebooted into BIOS, shows the SATA hard drives. Am I missing the chipset driver? Located the AMD chipset driver and it 112229-img-9773.jpgwon't install from command line, tells me the OS version for the driver is wrong. HP have washed their hands because it's seen in BIOS.

Where do I go from here?

You'll likely need to provide the disk controller driver during setup.

No, not a chipset, you'll need the storage controller driver. Also check here and with manufacturer about support for the operating system being installed.
