When I double click a message in the desktop app, it opens a new window with the message in it. Strange that you would get different behavior, but then again this product is not great right now.

This is good for composing and replying, but many of us want to read email in a new pop-out window. When I click (or double-click) on an email in my inbox to read it, I want it to open a new window. This was the default behavior in every version of Outlook until 365 (when not using the reading pane).

    Thanks.

Is there any update on this feature? I agree with this feedback too.

I agree, I do the same thing, I want a new window whenever I click on messages. I usually have many windows open, some to just read, some to reply. I use Outlook on a corporate environment and want the same behavior. Why is this so hard for Microsoft to comprehend?

I agree with everyone that has said that this is something that I used in every version of Outlook before the "New" experience. Can we please ensure that the feedback is given that this is a much-needed fix.
