    I completely agree!

Why would you change this? And give no option to revert to usual practice?

    • I must have opened hundreds of thousands of emails in my life with Outlook. Always the same thing happened. Now it is denied. Unacceptable!
    • Also, when I double-click on an email in the list, it does NOT open in a new window (same as for previous poster)
    • And the solve for the OP where you right-click in a message and go to customise other actions etc etc does NOT work as described. I get a very ugly pop-up window that says 'This customisation not available for this account'

I really think I should go back to Win10... Win11 just gets worse and worse...

    Hello Limor1,

    Hope this finds you well.

Just a follow up on this thread. The new outlook now has a feature setting to automatically pop-out emails for new emails, replies and forwards. You can check this via Settings >Mail >Compose and reply >Pop out settings >Pop-out a new window. Example in screenshot below.

Thank you for your precious time and have a great day.

    Best Regards,

    Ashraf.

    Good Morning!

My screen does not look like the one show with pop out option (it goes from font section to cut/copy). Please advise steps needed. Thank you so much!

I find this to be a major fault. I keep my email list open on a separate window and then have many emails open on another screen that I am working on. This change makes using Outlook nearly impossible from a task management point of view. It is enough of a problem to make me select another program for my emails. Hopefully Outlook solves it this week.

I know this is a user forum, but perhaps someone at Microsoft may read this. I have used Outlook now for over 20 years. In all this time, a message is opened in a new window. When done, I simply close that window and get back to the list. Now when I do that, it closes Outlook all together. This is annoying. This is not a help. This is not a feature. Please stop fixing things that aren't broken. Stirring the user interface periodically is usually just a inefficiency. If you have some type of supposed improvement, at least make it optional. Halting the use of classic Outlook is step backwards.
