Outlook removes e-mails on it's own and there's nothing in spam/junk folder anymore.

Hello.

We installed Outlook from Office 2021 packet on a freshly reinstalled Microsoft Windows 11 OS.

We then added two e-mail addresses via IMAP to the program. One of those e-mails was already present on another computer. Before doing it, the second e-mail mailbox (let's call it B) was getting about 20 messages daily, now it's been gettng about 5 messages max daily. Everything is gone from spam folder (totally empty) even though it always had new messages daily. Now both e-mails A (main e-mail on the new pc) and B had spam/junk folder empty and both had lowered daily incoming messages count.

We tried removing e-mail B from the new PC and it seems like now there's new messages coming to the spam folder there on the other PC for mailbox B while on new PC mailbox A is still missing new messages in spam/junk folder.

We tried online repair of outlook and that changed nothing on mailbox A, still no messages in spam/junk. We reinstalled office pack entirely but it also seems like it changes nothing. We're pretty sure the problem lies with outlook since we noticed improvement in mailbox B after removing it from the new PC.

We're clueless to why there's still a problem with missing e-mails on mailbox A.

I couldn't find a similar case on support pages but i'm hoping that there's a solution for this problem.

    Hello MrParadox97!

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

We understand that you're experiencing issues with missing emails in Outlook. Based on the information you provided, it seems like the issue syncing emails or receiving emails or else, related to the spam filter settings in Outlook.

We would like to confirm few things:

    1. Can we ask how long the emails synced on the Outlook for new PC?
    2. Can we ask if the webmail is showing the same numbers of spam emails and new incoming emails for your second email?
    3. What is the Office license of the old PC, is it on Windows 11 too?
    4. We notice that you have added this on New Outlook for Windows, are both old and new PC on New Outlook for PC?
    5. What is the email domain of these two email addresses? Email domains are @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @yahoo.com, @gmail.com.

Here are a few steps you can try for this issue:

Check the spam filter settings in Outlook:

    • Go to the Home tab in Outlook, click on Junk, and then click on Junk E-mail Options.
    • Make sure that the settings are configured to your liking and that the option "No Automatic Filtering" is not selected.

    Check the blocked senders list:

    • Go to the Home tab in Outlook, click on Junk, and then click on Junk E-mail Options.
    • Click on the Blocked Senders tab and make sure that the email addresses you are expecting emails from are not on the list.

    Check the rules in Outlook:

    • Go to the Home tab in Outlook, click on Rules, and then click on Manage Rules & Alerts.
    • Make sure that there are no rules set up that could be causing emails to be deleted or moved to a different folder.

Let us know the result and we will get back to you as soon as we can. We may recommend further troubleshooting steps once we have received your answers to the above questions.

    Sincerely,

    Kathy A.
