    Hello GW8008,

I'm Ibhadighi and I'd happily help you with your question. In this forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

Outlook Calendar does not support lunar calendars natively. To set up a lunar birthday that repeats yearly, you'll need to manually calculate the corresponding dates on the Gregorian calendar for each year and create the events. Here are simplified steps on how to do this:

    1. Use an online lunar to Gregorian calendar converter to find the equivalent dates for the next few years.
    2. In Outlook, go to the Calendar view and click on "New Appointment" or "New Meeting."
    3. Enter the event details and the Gregorian date you've converted for the current year.
    4. Click on "Recurrence" to open the recurrence settings.
    5. Set the event to recur yearly.
    6. Since the lunar date shifts each year, you will need to manually adjust the date of the event for each subsequent year. Unfortunately, this means you’ll have to create separate events for each year or remember to update the date annually.

Remember to check the lunar calendar each year to adjust the dates as necessary, since the lunar date will not match up with the Gregorian calendar year to year.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards, Ibhadighi

On Windows Mails, it can be done without such troublesome steps. If need to go thru such step, might as well change to other calender/mails app other than Microsoft Outlook.
