Trying to sync my email addresses. Gmail fine, but .net not accepted. Message received "Username may be incorrect" (it isn't. it's my email address) "Contact your admin."

My emails have just been updated but now I can't access my 2 email addresses which previously were synced. When I try to add my .net account I get a message "This Username may be incorrect. Make sure that you typed it correctly. Otherwise contact your admin." I don't know what this means and what I have to do. Could someone help please? Both my accounts are in my email and accounts settings so I don't understand how they can say my Username is incorrect.

    Hi Margaret,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for the inconveniences,

Here are some possible solutions that you can try:

    • Make sure that you have entered the correct username and password for your .net email account. You can check this by logging in to your .net webmail and verifying your credentials.
    • Make sure that you have enabled IMAP or POP access for your .net email account. You can check this by logging in to your .net webmail and going to the settings or preferences section. You may need to enable IMAP or POP access and generate an app password for Outlook.
    • Make sure that you have entered the correct server settings for your .net email account in Outlook. You can check this by going to File > Account Settings > Account Settings, selecting your .net email account, and clicking Change. Then, enter the server settings provided by your .net email provider.
    • Try removing and re-adding your .net email account in Outlook. This may help to refresh the connection and resolve any sync issues. You can do this by going to File > Account Settings > Account Settings, selecting your .net email account, and clicking Remove. Then, click New and follow the steps to add your .net email account again.

    I hope this helps!

    Regards, Sola
