Outlook 365 with not work with any VPN and Microsoft has no answer

There is a longstanding, known issue with Outlook. It is not compatible with any VPN. While searching this site for a solution, I could not find any. Surprisingly, Microsoft did not weigh in on a solution, but instead, locked each thread so that communication was stopped. The incompatibility with VPNs is a deal breaker for me. This is a request for a solution before I cancel my subscription to 365. Is there a solution to be able to use a VPN and Outlook together?

    Hello IMustBeWayTooStupid

We warmly welcome you to Microsoft community

My apologies to know that you are experiencing issues with Outlook and VPN. While there is no official solution from Microsoft, there are a few things you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Use a different VPN: Some VPNs may work better with Outlook than others. You can try using a different VPN service to see if it resolves the issue.
    2. Use Outlook Web App: If you're unable to use Outlook with your VPN, you can try using Outlook Web App instead. It's a web-based version of

Outlook that you can access from any browser.

    1. Ensure that the VPN connection is properly configured and tested, update Outlook to the latest version, and check for any firewall or

security settings that may be interfering with the connection.

In summary, kindly check VPN compatibility with Outlook 365. Some VPN providers or configurations may not be fully compatible with the

latest versions of Outlook 365, leading to connectivity issues or other problems. This can be more common with older or less-supported VPN solutions.

Please understand that our initial response may not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Kindly post back if you need any further assistance from our side, we will be happy to help you further.

    Sincerely,

    Bertrand

I am looking for an official soultion from Microsoft. If one is not available, what is wrong with Microsoft? This does not speak well for the leadership and its management. The lack of a solution to a very longstanding issue of many years is of a major concern, and I've paid hundreds of dollars over the years to subscribe to Outlook 365. Yes, you are hearing frustration in my reply.

I would like to hear from the CEO of Microsoft; let that person explain to me why this issue is not solveable.

About a different VPN, I am open to using a different one, but which specific VPN? I've tried 4 different VPNs over the years and none work with Outlook...not even one. Give me the name of one, just one, VPN that is compatible and I am open to it. To my knowledge, there is not even a single VPN that is compatible with Outlook that is used with a 365 subscription.

    Thank you.

    July 27, 2024:

I have been unable to use my VPN with the Outlook web app for several months. I have tried all the usual things like updating the browser, using different browsers, emptying cache, restarting, etc., all to no avail. All browsers I have tried return a blank browser screen with the message "too many requests" after I enter my account and password. The only thing that works is turning off my VPN. I am dismayed by researching online to find that some variation of this has been a problem for several years and there is still no direction from Microsoft? Really? My only choice to continue using Outlook is to do so without a VPN?

If there is a solution, please point me to the correct article.

    Thank you in advance.
