Frequent error messages when loading Outlook Web in the last few weeks

In the last few weeks Outlook web (outlook.office.com) has been giving me a range of issues, from error messages to loading blank calendars to not loading at all.

Error messages include:

  1. Something went wrong. Please try again later. TypeError: StartupData:Sta. et: ServerError
  2. Network Error. Oh no! Are you sure you're connected to the internet?

(and yes, to confirm I was connected to the internet)

Other issues include:

  1. Perpetually loading, before an error message appears
  2. Blank calendar loads

Is anyone having these types of issues? Or found any solutions to it? It's frustrating to have Outlook Web only work half the time and I'm not sure what's changed in the last few weeks. If helpful, I'm on an iPhone iOS 18.0.1 and using Safari.

    Hello Emily M_764,

Thank you for posting this case in Microsoft Community!

Based on your description: Frequent error messages when loading Outlook Web in the last few weeks. I would like to cooperate with you working on this case. To clarify this case, would you please help to collect following information for further investigation:

    • Are you usingMicrosoft 365or a Business account(******@xxx.onmicrosoft.com/******@domain.com) ?
    • Or using personal account type such as Outlook.com, Hotmail.com, Live.com etc?
    • Have you tried to sign in Outlook Web and check this via different network environment such as other WIFI, 5G/4G hotspot etc if getting the same case?
    • Have you tried on different browsers on your iphone if getting the same case?
    • Have you tried on different devices such as computer or another mobile to access Outlook Web if getting the same case?

For my suggestion, you may try following workaround to narrow down this issue:

    1. Firstly, you may try to reset your Safari browser and clear up cache & cookie to check again.

    1. Please also try on another browser if there is any difference.

Please understand that the initial response may not resolve your case directly, but you can try my workaround and provide more useful information for further assistance, please feel free to let me know, I will keep assisting you.

Your understanding and patience will be appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Thanks very much Eleni!

A couple responses to your questions:

    • I'm using a Business account
    • I have experienced this error message / loading issue in various settings -- on home WiFi, on work WiFi, without WiFi, etc.
    • I don't have a 2nd browswer (beyond Safari) but can try that if the issue persists

I've cleared my Safary history and will check in the coming days if that has resolved the problem. I'll let you know!

    Thank you,

    Emily
