I just came on to the Microsoft hosting for my work emails. I have my emails from the previous hosting as a pst file. The new outlook is not showing me an option to import these into my account

To the community moderator, yes I am another very dissatisfied customer that is paying more for a subscription that is delivering far less.

Let the number of dissatisfied customers speak out here. I need the pst file access for legal reasons also. Thanks for the incredible inconvenience during these hard and trying times. You have added to them!

I use the desktop outlook. I assumed the "NEW" and unimproved version was using the classic .pst file as the date of the .pst file was changing (I believe now that was because I was switching back to classic and the date was changing even though I could not log in.

So, if it is true that it is not using the .pst and therefore my folders will not be imported to the "NEW" system. Then I need to figure out HOW THE F&&& your update broke my classic version.

And is this because I have refused to update to windows 11 so microsoft is punishing me?

Yeah, doesn't look like you can import into New Outlook. I really don't understand why they would roll this product out. It's terrible.

Thanks for the good response. I was able to install classic and have the option to import but encountered another problem. - it asked for the password in the pst file.

When I saved the pst file it never asked for a password. So I’m stuck again. it won’t let me import the file without the password.

Any idea why it asks for a password to import when it never asked for one when exporting to a pst file? I’ve tried the passwords for the outlook account but that doesn’t work.
