I built a C# windows for application that I use to connect to Azure Blob storage, list the XEL files in a datagridview. I want to double click the file, and have it pull the file from Blob storage and import it into a datagridview.

Trying to understand more on this:

Your current design:
You have built a C#.net Windows Application which has got a datagridview control , right now datagridview shows all the files in each row which are pulled from Azure Blob Storage.

Your requirement:
When you click on a row in the datagridview (lets says row is pointing to a text file path of Blob Storage) , in the same gridview you want to display the contents of that text file ?

Questions:
So where exactly you were blocked as of now ?
What is the format of those files in the datagridview (.xls or .txt or .csv) ?
Why you want to display the contents of the file in the same datagridview ?
Is it something like you have a '+' icon mark before each row and you are clicking on that '+' icon mark to display the contents of the file ?

Yes, right now I have a C# application that connects to Azure Blob Storage and lists all of the Extended Event files in a particular blob storage account. I want to be able to double click on one or several of those files and have them open into a datagridview in a modal window. I can handle the coding outside of how to read an extended event file from blob storage into a datagridview.

XEL files (extended Event files are XML format (I believe).

There USED to be some classes you could import into your project, but apparently they are no longer usable??? I see they replaced some functionality in Powershell and you can use this:
