Remote Desktop Locking up, unable to wake without a disconnect.

Question

Background:
Running a synology nas 1621xs+
using the native virtual machine manager, i have a windows 10 pro running.
the following policies are set under local group policy editor
RDP --> RDSH --> Security
Set client connection encryption level - enable
require secure rpc communication- enable
require use of specific security layer for remote connections - enable
required user authentication for remote connection using network level authentication - enable

Problem
If i am idle for 10 minutes, the screen locks, and there is no input that will bring it back all i get is some Church image like a painting old one.
if i ctrl alt del and to lock and then reenter my pin password, nothing.
however if i disconnect, and then reconnect then i will have again access to my desktop.
Maybe is just glitchy, but i get paranoid lol!!!! lol

1.Is there any error message in the event log?

2.Did you set Lock Timeout with gpedit.msc: Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host > Session Time Limits? or did you use Screen Saver and Edit the GPO: User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Control Panel\Personalization\Screen Saver Timeout?

3.Please also check if it's related to network issue and try the following method: "This has been the case with one of my HP PCs for several years now. The only thing that worked for me is to set media player to play an album continuously, right after I log in, and mute it."
