Remote Desktop Service Installation in Windows Server’s Add Roles and Features Wizard

Question

Hi,

While adding a role in Windows Server, we all see screen as below:

In most cases, we continue with Role-based or feature-based installation.

When I checked Remote Desktop Service Installation, I have seen various options and terms as

Standard deployment, Virtual-machine-based desktop deployment, Session-based desktop deployment, Remote Desktop Connection Broker, Remote Desktop Web Access, Remote Desktop Virtualization Host, etc.

I did Google search and found links. Links explained how to proceed in Remote Desktop Service Installation.

At the end, for me it was like beating around bush. I couldn’t understand the concept from scratch.

Why and in which scenarios, we can use it?

I am totally agree that the Q&A community is not a training center or a tutorial point.

However, I sincerely request to community members please help me to understand the concept and scenarios.
