I have been locked out of my email account due to suspicious activity. I filled out the form but have a terrible memory and don’t use that email address for sending emails so it was hard to give the information. I am now stuck without my email account which I have some important things linked to. Incredibly disappointed with Microsoft as there is no support team I can speak to. It is affecting my business as a lot of the accounts I have opened for my business are using that email address. Please can someone help

    Hi, Sophie Graham2

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

According to your description, your account has been locked due to suspicious activity. I understand your frustration and disappointment.

I would like to clarify that in order to protect the privacy of forum users, the forum currently does not have the permission to view the details of your account and cannot directly unlock your account.

The unlocking process requires you to operate it yourself. Have you tried to unlock your account?

You need to get a verification code to verify your account in order to unlock your account. Do you have the option to receive the verification code through verification? (For example: phone number/email)

If you have the verification option and can receive the verification code, follow the steps provided in this document to unlock your account. Account has been locked - Microsoft Support

If you do not have the option to verify your account, the best way is to fill out the account recovery form. Filling out the recovery form requires detailed information. The more information you provide, the greater the chance of regaining access to your account. However, this method does not apply to you.

If the recovery form does not work, I suggest you contact Microsoft Online Support for more help. The steps are as follows:

    1. Open the website: Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. Enter your question to search and Click "Sign in to contact Support" at the bottom of the page.
    3. Log in to another available Micorsoft account. Be sure to sign in with your personal account.
    4. Under Products & Services, select "Other Products".
    5. Under Categories, select "Manage account security", and click Confirm.
    6. Click"Chat with a support agent in your web browser".

Note: Please contact support during business hours.

I wish you all the best!

    Best regards
