Dear Phil Dreuitt,
I’m really sorry that your Outlook.com emails are suddenly bouncing back from various previously used client email addresses, with no changes in content or recipient addresses on either end, and you suspect this may be a Microsoft issue. Please verify whether Outlook.com can be accessed normally and if emails can be sent/received without issues. If Outlook for Web fails to log in or function, you may be encountering the current hot issue. Visit https://status.cloud.microsoft to check for any reported outages or issues with Outlook.com that might cause emails to bounce. If you are still experiencing this issue, you can try these steps:
- Verify Email Authentication Settings:
- If you manage your domain, ensure SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records are correctly set in your DNS settings. Log in to your domain provider’s control panel and confirm these records are active to prevent bounces.
- Send a Test Email:
- Send a simple test email with minimal content (no links or attachments) to a trusted recipient to check if it delivers. This helps determine if specific content is triggering bounces.
- Contact Microsoft Support: Contact - Microsoft Support
- Click on the link and in the search you could put in account issues
- Scroll down and you should see the option contact support or sign in to contact support
- You can sign in with any email
- For product select Microsoft 365 and office and category select manage profile information
- You should see the option Chat with a support agent in your web browse
Please try these steps in order and reply with updates or if the issue persists, and I’ll assist further promptly.
Best regards,
