Hi all,

Through SCCM User based deployment , is it possible to install application only to laptop not to VDI's ( means if same user logged into both Laptop and VDI) , the application should only get installed only to laptop not to VDI. Any condition we can set or any other clue pls.

Yes, this is technically possible. The question back to you is how should ConfigMgr differentiate between a laptop and a VDI session as it doesn't inherently have this knowledge? Once you can answer that, you can easily add a global condition that detects this and then use that global condition as a prerequisite for the deployment type within the application.

If we could distinguish between a laptop and a VDI session, agree with Jason, kindly add a global condition to solve this issue.

Here is the article we could refer to:
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/apps/deploy-use/create-global-conditions

Note: Non-Microsoft link, just for the reference.

    Best regards,
