The reason for Update Error 0x800f0805 could be when Windows Updates do not work out the way as they should be. Please follow the steps below and check if one of this steps resolves your issue.
Option 1: Reset Windows Update Components

Option 2: Manually install windows updates
Step 1: Identify the KB number of the update that you are trying to install.
Step 2: Once KB numbers found, open a browser and go to below page
http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Home.aspx
Step 3: On the search box provided, search for the KB number of the update that you are trying to install.
Step 4: Download the update that you are trying to install and install it to your computer.
Note: Do make sure that all windows update services are running. To check for the services open the Run box and type services.msc and press Enter. Now locate the below services and make sure that they are running.
* Windows Update Service
* Background Intelligent Transfer Service
* Cryptographic Service
* Windows Module Installer
