CORS Policy issue in browser

Due to access token expiry after one hour, CORS Policy is blocking data saving in our web application in Microsoft Edge browser whereas saving functionality works perfectly in Chrome browser in spite of CORS Policy issue occurring in console. Can someone suggest as to why the behavior is different between these two browsers ?
