Good day,

I have this problem that I can't solve:

Nome registro: System

Origine:       Microsoft-Windows-DistributedCOM

Parole chiave: Classico

Utente:        N/D

Computer:      Piero-PC

Descrizione:

Il server {A483C63A-CDBC-426E-BF93-872502E8144E} non si è registrato con DCOM entro il timeout richiesto.

XML evento:

That is that the parameter: {A483C63A-CDBC-426E-BF93-872502E8144E} refers to: C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\FlashUtil10g_ActiveX.exe,-101

I have Avast internet securiy, I did a complete scan with Mbam and with Defender, but without any problem.

I have also seen that in "Creadenziali generic" there's a rumor that I know of: "virtualapp/didlogical" but I don't know what program uses this credential.

thanks in advance.

    Hi Alpha45,

    1.    When did the issue start?

    2.    Was there any changes done to the computer recently?

    3.     Is your computer connected to any domain?

Grant the correct permissions to the Network Service account:

    A.   Click Start, type dcomcnfg in the Search bar, and hit enter.

    B.   In Component Services, double-click Component Services, and then double-click Computers.

    C.   Right-click Computer, and then click Properties.

    D.   Click the COM Security tab.

    E.    In the Launch and Activation Permissions area, click Edit Default.

    F.    Click Add, type Network Service, and then click OK.

    G.   While Network Service is selected, click to select the Allow check boxes for the following items:

    H.   Local Launch

    I.    Remote Launch

    J.    Local Activation

    K.   Remote Activation

    L.    Click OK two times.

    H Bindu R

When I follow your instructions, at step F I don't find one entry called "Network Service". I only find separate entries - one called "Network" and one called "Service". So I can't make step G in one go.

Should I set these permissions for both "Network" and for "Service"? Thats my question for you...

My problem is that I can't get Windows Backup to start any more. The process "ntbackup.exe" appears in Task Manager but nothing happens for about 2-3 minutes, after which I get a "Not responding" message and have to terminate it. Doing this causes my Desktop to disappear briefly and then reappear without my Toolbars in place (which is really annoying considering how long it takes to set those things up...).

I get the EventID: 10010 error logged in my Services console as described by the original poster, with the CLSID:

    {D61A27C6-8F53-11D0-BFA0-00A024151983}

which Regedit tells me is the NtmsSvr Class...

Just so you know, this all began yesterday sometime shortly after I had done the following things:

    1. Set up a shared Home Folder on a separate disk drive for my User Account.
    2. Changed the Computer name and Workgroup name (separately, rebooting after each change).
    3. And run the Network Setup Wizard a few times.

I only ran the Network Setup Wizard because, after changing either the Computer name or Workgroup name, I suddenly found I had a second network connection icon in my System Tray, which I had never had before, and which mentioned "Internet Connection Sharing" in its Properties dialog. This worried me because I thought I had set my computer up for NO Internet Connection Sharing, since I have only one computer which is connected to the internet through a DSL/ethernet router...)

Whatever I do with the Network Setup Wizard, this second icon won't go away. Incidentally its called "Local Area Connection on DSL-G604T", whereas my usual icon is called simply "Local Area Connection".

I have since dropped the Home Folder and changed the Computer name and Workgroup names back their original values, but no still have no solution to the problem...

    Hope you can help, thanks...
