* Original Title: To merge the existing C & D drive in one
Microsoft is one of the most less efficiency company, it reflect to take longer time to launch their products (compare to Apple and Android), launched poor and less efficiency software & OS (eg Windows 8), and the create this Microsoft Community.
The movement you post your question like "to merge the existing C & D drive partitions by Windows 8.1", a list of the answer jump up to draw you eye balls.
They are so many options for you to choice, which are depending your luck to pick one to assist you, but what happen when the option you choose missing some steps, it ended out like me to sent my PC for re-start up at HP.
Why you can not to handle one to one basic, instead of the group, your problem may not same as me, so the solution in the community may not apply to all.
My eMMC drive labelled 64 GB which partitioned in 46.2 GB as C drive and 10.8 GB as D drive initially purchased from HP for Envy x2 powered Intel Atom.
Before the disk space went low as 1 GB in C drive, I had look up for solution to merge the C & D drive, asked and posted my question to both Microsoft & HP, they play with ball kicking with me, no confirm answer from both, disk space went low as 27 MB, I
decided take the half-baked answer from the web to try the luck.
- Create a 32 GB micro-SD to transfer data from recovery D drive and follow the instruction to unallocated the disk space.
- To merge by the steps using EaseUS Partition Master Free version to merge both C & D drives,
- Some steps are different to web site, caused my PC needed to sent to HP for re-start up.
As the Windows 8 (Initial) & 8.1 (after free update) are come from Microsoft (PC setting may vary by vendors), why Microsoft can not given clear and direct instructions to home user to manage the merging of partitions instead of go round and round to solve
the matter.
