In the desktop version of Excel I can sort using levels. For example I sort using three columns. Sort by year column, then by month column and then by member name. How do I do this in the app version?

    Hello Richard,

There is no option to add sort level in Excel iPad app. If you think this feature is important and want Microsoft to include it, provide your feedback through the following link:

Thanks. I'm shocked I was the first to ask about this. I'm not a power user of Excel but I consider this a pretty basic function.

I agree.  This is a feature I use daily and really need this on the iPad app for business purposes.

I also agree that data table sorting is a very basic function of any spreadsheet and can't believe this is not possible in the iPad version of Excel. (Sigh)

I was recently part of a thread that screamed -- nicely of course -- for the ability to produce PDF's from Word for iPad and the MS folks responded positively and added it in the next update. Hopefully they'll be equally responsive with this issue. So, please keep the chatter going everyone.

As I rarely work on spreadsheets which don't require sorting, this is an important function for me too.
