Hyper-v says the vm I am trying to replicate is write protected

Server 2019 Standard as Hyper-v Host. I have a guest vm (server 2008) that I want to replicate to an identical Hyper-v Host, but it always says the vm is write protected. I have other vms on that same host I can replicate back and forth. I've exported the vm in question and re-imported it to a different drive that worked fine for another vm and replication still says the same thing. Every vm I have, except this one, can replicate from the same host. I posted a screenshot below in the 'Answers' - the guid is of the vm I'm trying to replicate. There is NO write protection on any drive. Is there some sort of repair tool I can run on the vm files?

    Hi,

After researching, what I could think is to check below settings.

    1. On this VM, set the registry key value to 0
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Policies\Microsoft\FVE\FDVDenyWriteAccess - RRG_DWORD
    2. Check if your account has the correct permission for the .vhdx file of the 2008 server VM.
    3. Apart from the replication configuration, have you once scheduled any other task or job on the VM that might be in pending or in progress status? Such as server backup.

Also, you can check if there is any event log on the host and the VM containing more details about this error, which might help for further investigation.

    Thanks,
