Equation Editor in Excel: Can I insert cell values?

Hi,

I am currently creating an Excel sheet (in Excel 2013) to calculate different methods of forecasting. In one sheet I would like to display the equations (I mean the notation, not the actual Excel function) used in the calculations based on the actual values to forecast.

I know how to use equation editor quite well to create equations. However what I would like to do is insert in an equation the value of a given cell. For example, consider the following equation that calculates Beta-one:

What I would like to do is show the value of cell A1 as n, the value of C20 as sigma-t, the value of D20 as sigma-t-squared, etc.

Is that possible?

Regards,

P.

    Hello,

You cannot apply the cell reference to the ‘Equations’ inserted in Excel 2013. The cell reference works with formulae entered in Excel.
