Excel 2013 Opens In Extreme Minimized Window

When I open Excel 2013, it opens in a minimized window that is no bigger than the size of a tab.  It does it with new or existing workbooks.

Has anyone else experienced this?

The trick is to drag-resize the blank file (not the opened file).

    So do this:

    1. Open an Excel file,
    2. Close it
    3. Click on Excel that is still open (should be a small tab)
    4. Resize it to a viewable size
    5. Close it

    This fixed my issue.  Thanks!

Finally Steve - you did it. Thanks. Very frustrating glitch somewhere. Adding 'restore button grayed out' to help all others who go through all the other shenanigans before getting this solid fix. thanks steve

This is not a permanent fix.  each time I open an Excel document it does this.

I may have.  I went into Windows, reset my display to a different resolution. Then went back to the original and it works just fine.

I went to Properties and under shortcut changed the field called Run to Maximized.  This seems to have worked for now.
