Excel 2013 Opens In Extreme Minimized Window

When I open Excel 2013, it opens in a minimized window that is no bigger than the size of a tab.  It does it with new or existing workbooks.

Has anyone else experienced this?

    Hi Step #1 worked with one note.  when I did this Excel opened with a dialogue box saying MS Excel was not my default program for this type of file.  I said yes to make it my default.  Then another dialogue box opened allowing me to choose which file types Excel should be the default for.  Here's what I found.  in the middle of the list the excel XLSX file type WAS NOT CHECKED  also at the bottom two Excel protocols were not selected.  I clicked the select all check box and said Okay.

    Now my issue seems to be fixed permanently.   Thanks so much for leading me here!   :-)

    Thanks, I was having this problem after I was upgraded to Office 2013 and this is the only thing that fixed the issue.

    Nearly all of my sheets are pretty macro heavy and this still worked for me.
