    • In Excel, go to Options.
    • Trust Center. Click "Trust Center Settings"
    • Choose "Macro Settings".
    • Check the checkbox "Trust access to VBA Project object model".
    • Click OK and OK.
    • Quit Excel and Restart Excel.

The important part of Edwin Tam's process is:

    - Quit Excel and Restart Excel.

The settings for macro security do not take effect until you close and restart Excel.

Don't forget to change the setting back to "do not ..." when you are finished working with the workbook or else it will remain in effect on all other workbooks you open later.  Allowing any other workbook to have access to the VBA Project creates a very real security issue.

the problem is  i'm not able to check the checkbox bec. it is not accessible, it greyed. i'd tried to restart not only the excel but  also my computer but doesn't work.

I do SYSTEM RESTORE. It is ok now. And reinstall all affected program.

    Anyhow thanks for your replies.

Thank goodness for System Restore then!  What always gets me is how many times it seems to be needed from time to time by people and it just refuses to work, or says there are no available restore points (had those disappear once while I was in the middle of a restore - restore from one point failed, so I was going to use an earlier one, and all of them were gone!).  Good luck with your project.
