Hi,

Would like to know is it possible to migrate file server from windows server 2008 SP2 to Windows Server 2019 using Robocopy? Any limitations due to the Windows server version or we need to migrate to a middle version first like Windows Server 2016/2012 R2?

Thank you.

    Hi @Marcus Wong ,

Yes it's fully possible to migrate your fileservers using Robocopy, most switches should work on Windows Server 2008 SP2 so you should be able to migrate directly to a Windows Server 2019 server, there's no need to migrate first to a Windows Server 2012 R2/2016 server.
