Excel Bar Graph with Data Table

Good Morning-

I have created a bar graph to display data. Below the bar graph I have a data table across the bottom. If I use the chart filter in excel 2013 to show different combinations of months. For example if I do not display Jan 13 the column heading for Feb 14 turns into Jan 13 with Feb 14 data. I believe that this is an error the program and not something I am doing wrong but please let me know if you can find a solution.

(I highlighted Jan 13 myself)

Thanks,

Joe

    Hi Joeb,

Did you create the data manually or was it imported from any other file?

The sample data is working fine in Excel 2013.

Create a new Excel file and check if it works fine as expected.

I hope the above information helps. Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Thank you.

    Hi Raju,

Thank you for following up. As you can see by the attached picture the data table information does not match the axis information. Excel is pulling conflicting data for this chart and I'm not sure why, but only when using the filter option.

I did test the graph without using a formula, I copied and pasted the values instead of using "countifs", with the same result.

Please let me know if you have any more suggestions.

    Thanks,

    Joe

Also if I have data in March 2014 there is no issue the filtering works fine. I should not have to have data in the month after I want to stop filtering. There is some sort of issue between filtering and data table use.
