"We need to know who to send this to. Make sure you enter at least one name." Outlook Task issue

We use assigned tasks frequently, however recently when the person assigned to the task marks the task complete an error box pops up that says "We need to know who to send this to. Make sure you enter at least one name." with nothing more than an "OK" button below. When you close the box by way of the "x" or clicking "OK" the task marks itself complete however no notification is sent to the person assigning the task (even though their Outlook now shows the task complete). Please help.

    Hi all,

I want to inform you that we are definitely looking into this outlook task issue. It is currently being investigated.

For now the status is , since the issue is in the December PU the customer will probably want to revert back to November PU version 15.0.4771.1004. *** Note *** roll back office version is only a workaround.  For MSI the customer will need to remove the December PU, support.microsoft.com/.../3114349.

For Outlook 2016 MSI customers can remove the December PU support.microsoft.com/.../3114387.  C2R customers can revert back to November PU version.

I apologize for any inconvenience caused by this issue, and do appreciate your patience and understanding, and we will update you as soon as we have a possible resolution for this issue.

    Best Regards,

    Neo

Having the safe issue here with Office 2013. Has anybody been able to track down the exact update that is causing this issue?

NeoZhu - I should clarify that this occurs when using the web app, or the desktop version of Outloook 2013. I think this is where the confusion is setting in. I can understand you statement on Office 365, however the desktop version of Outlook 2013 works so long as the update from a few weeks ago hasn't been applied, which would indicate that MS broke the feature with the most recent update, no?
