Creating a developer account

I would like to open a developer account so I can publish my game in Microsoft store. The following instructions appear in Microsoft's website in the “Opening a developer account” section: 1)Go to the registration page and select Sign up.
2)If you're not already signed in with a Microsoft account, sign in now, or create a new Microsoft account. The Microsoft account you use here is what you'll use to sign in to your developer account.

I do have a Microsoft account as an individual. Everybody noways has a Microsoft account because we all have Microsoft products. At this step do I need to sign up with the account already have as an individual or do I need to create a new Microsoft account as a company since I'm going to create a company account? Please help with that, I'm confused.

It is certainly your choice but based on what you said above I'd choose the latter option.
