2015-12-29T04:03:44+00:00 Hi Richard,
In this scenario, you may provide your tenant information via a document and upload it to my workspace.
You can find my workspace via the Private Message below:

2015-12-29T07:39:48+00:00 Thanks. I submitted it.
I also redid these steps:
- Open Finder > Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access and remove the following password entries:
Microsoft Office Identities Cache 2
Microsoft Office Identities Settings 2
- Search for all occurrences of ADAL in the keychain and remove all those entries if present.
- Restart computer.
This time it asked me to login again but still did not work.
I do not have the problem with Office 2011 running Mac OS 10.9.
The issue is only related to using Office for Mac 2016 on a machine running El Capitan 10.11.2.
We are ready to shift all of our files to Sharepoint if this can be solved.

2016-01-06T00:40:08+00:00 Hi Richard,
I have got updates from our related team. It is the design change for Office 2016 that Office 2016 files will open Read-Only mode by default. The design was changed to allow more users to have access to the file who really need to edit it, rather than opening the file in Edit mode and locking it for all other users.
Your patience and understanding are highly appreciated.
Best regards,
Mills
