MS Teams on RHEL 8 with smart card authentication

I have installed MS Teams from the MS repo on RHEL 8. We are set up to use SmartCard authentication to log into teams. When trying to log in, Teams comes up with an error that it cannot find certificates to authenticate.

My question is - where does MS Teams look for authentication certificates (pem/crt/etc)? Chrome and Firefox work and authenticate with smart cards using the system location. I also have a pem file in the nssdb.

So an official Microsoft product installed from an official Microsoft repository is not supported?

I do not need assistance with RHEL 8 authenticating smartcards; I need assistance with MS Teams authenticating certificates to authenticate a smartcard.

I would also appreciate some assistance making MS Teams for Linux work with SSSD
