Issue
When creating PDF files via the Publisher 2016 feature Export to Create PDF/XPS Document, documents containing images that have been reformatted such as recolored or adjusted transparency do not show the changes on the PDF file. Some symptoms include

This issue is now fixed in the latest Office version 16.0.7341.2032 released today, 9/22. The notification to update to the latest version is getting rolled out incrementally to our customers, but you can update immediate by opening any Office 2016 application and choosing File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.

Thanks for the fantastic feedback, DavidF2! We absolutely value your opinion and thanks for being patient with us as we fix this issue.
I've updated this post to reflect workaround for users in older versions of Windows. We've also updated our support article as well. Thanks for pointing this out!
As for providing us feedback, one other way you can share your thoughts is via the support.office.com article. At the bottom of the article, you can select Yes or No next to Was this information helpful? and leave your feedback there. We read customer feedback often (in addition to our forums) and will try to address customer questions in future updates.
Lastly, the issue should be fixed soon and will post back an update as soon as we've released the fix to our customers.
