You may ask them to restart their PC.
You may use Restart-Computer
PowerShell command and you may run it on multiple devices, take a look at:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/microsoft.powershell.management/restart-computer.
You may try use Start-Service -Name Spooler -Force
to start service on multiple PCs.
Kb5004945 broke receipt printers, rolled out KB5004237 - Still hasn't resolved all
Hello,
I manage 400+ tills, patch KB5004945 broke a lot of the receipt printers, we rolled up the fix patch and most worked fine. Some however still refuse to print. The fix we know is to restart the print spooler but the end user doesn't have that option and and its not a long term solution.
Any ideas?
They are on Version 10.0.19043.1110
Thanks,

We could check if we are using the latest firmware and drivers available for our device.
If our firmware and drivers are up-to-date and we still encounter this issue, then we could contact the device manufacturer.
We could ask if a setting or configuration change is required to bring the device into compliance with the hardening change or if a compliant update will be available.Microsoft has confirmed that this is an issue in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section and will provide an update in the near term.

Best Regards
