Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hi John,
Have you tried the suggestion provided by Neha in theoriginal post?
If that doesn't help, we may need to do a re-activation. Please follow the steps below to uninstall your Office product key and remove Office credentials, then reactivate it with your Office 365 account.
- Close all Office applications first. Then open a Command Prompt window
input cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16, press ENTER ( sometimes, can be cd C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16, it depends on your system and Office bit version)
input cscript ospp.vbs /dstatus, press ENTER
--------------Note: If you are using Office 2013. replace Office16 with Office15
2. Copy Last 5 characters of installed product key, for example H499C in the picture
3. Run
**cscript ospp.vbs /unpkey:**H499C ****** ******
4. Go to Control Panel\User Accounts\Credential Manager and remove Microsoft****Office related credentials.
5. Reboot the computer and start (for example) Word.
6. Reactivate your Office with your Office 365 account.
However, if the issue still remains and it is convenient for you, could you uninstall your Office using the Fix it tool in this article and install from Portal Software page again?
Feel free to share some updates with us when you have time.
Thanks,
Frank
