I get this message now every time I open a document in Excel or Word, very annoying:

Has anyone got any idea of how to get rid of this message and have the documents sign in automatically as before?

This worked fine for me. Go to one drive ->settings->under office tab un-check " Use office 2016 to sync files i open" -> click ok. Done!

This has been happening a lot lately (although it doesn't ask for sign-in, just simply says Upload is blocked without any explanation). Windows 10 + Office subscription. We have to resort to limited configuration to fix this? Why can't this be fixed instead of having to disable pieces of the software?

    didn't do much troubleshooting yet.

Any idea where to start with trouble shooting? It is with Office 365 Business premium. The link you send doesn't apply for this situation.
