Hi @allen bell
IE mode means you can use IE 11 Trident MSHTML engine in Edge browser when you visit legacy sites. If you configure IE mode correctly, the sites in IE mode list should be opened in Edge using IE mode.
Which version of Edge are you using and how do you configure IE mode? For detailed steps to configure IE mode, you can refer to this doc:
- IE mode applies to Microsoft Edge version 77 or later. It is recommended to update your Edge browser to the latest version.
- You need to Enable Internet Explorer integration using Group Policy. In this step, if you set the Options value to Internet Explorer 11, it will open IE mode list sites in a standalone Internet Explorer 11 window which is the same situation as yours. So you need to choose Internet Explorer mode under Options if you want sites to open in IE mode on Microsoft Edge.
- You need to Configure sites on the Enterprise Site list. In this step, you can Use the Enterprise Mode IE website list (Internet Explorer) or Configure the Enterprise Mode Site List (Microsoft Edge, version 78 or later) or use both policies.
Please refer to the above to configure IE mode, then test again to see if it can open IE mode list sites in Edge.
