All Office 365 slow to open

Hello,

I'm pulling out what little hair I have left!! I've followed all the posts & suggested remedies relevant to this issue & have, so far, not found a solution. This is very disappointing. I have followed each & every offered suggestion to remedy this extremely frustrating & time consuming problem with 365. I am computer literate.

PLEASE, can someone at Microsoft sort this out, rather than trotting out the redundant solutions that have proven to be ineffective by everyone posting. Obviously, I can't find a single reply saying "Thank you, this has fixed the problem with Office 365 applications taking an unreasonable length of time to start." Surely someone has realised this is a serious problem?

Thank you in advance of your earliest reply with a working solution or advice on how to claim a refund as the product Microsoft have sold me is clearly not fit for purpose.

In fact, everything is slow with Win10. Whenever I tried something first time with Win10, the next second I find that I have to google for suggestions to speed up this thing. To me Win10 has a problem at every level from top to bottom. Win10 must be designed to slow, or because MS employed too many sub-standard engineers who have no idea of engineering but know only to pile up useless features to block the system.

When did you upgrade to Windows 10?

Have you installed Office and Windows patches?

    That is certainly slow.

The first thing to try would be starting Word in Safe mode. If that makes a difference, the problem might be related to (a) a damaged Normal template, (b) poorly designed COM or Startup add-ins, or (c) damaged registry entries in Word. (a) and (b) are the most likely culprits and they are both discussed in the article at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/921541.

As part of troubleshooting, you can start Word in Safe mode and see if that improves the situation. See https://support.office.com/en-us/article/open-office-apps-in-safe-mode-on-a-windows-pc-dedf944a-5f4b-4afb-a453-528af4f7ac72.

By the way, when you say that programs are slow, exactly how slow are they? Here, I'm running the most recent update of Office 365 and I haven't seen any slowness in Word. (Outlook does appear a bit more slow than older versions.)

Now, I have no idea just what you have tried and it is definitely not a problem here as Word starts in about 2 seconds and here it has to load 3 add-ins.

Have you followed the steps in the KnowledgeBase article "How to troubleshoot problems that occur when you start or use Word" at:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/921541

particularly the section dealing with Add-ins.

As I said, I have no idea what you have tried so don't get upset if that is something that you have tried.

Doug, thanks for the prompt reply, also for your sharing and caring. Go well.
