Hello,

My Word Document File Name is "YXXXX-SUBMITTAL SECTION I" I have used Document Property Title name is " YXXXX" in the document.

After Converting from MS Word 2016 to PDF , The PDF file name  shows as Title name instead of Word Document File name.

Word Document File Name : YXXXX SUBMITTAL SECTION 0

Word document Title : YXXXX

PDF document Name shows as " YXXXX".

I Need What is given file name for in MS word same should reflect in PDF. If i open the Multiple PDF documents The PDF File name Shows same for all even word document file is different. But My Title name should be same in all word documents because i used it as document property.

Could you please suggest how can i fix this issue.

Thanks,

M. Gopi

What has happened here is that you have YXXXX as the documents Title property.

When you save as PDF you need to uncheck the option to save the documents properties and then Adobe Reader will show the filename instead of the title field.

How are you 'converting' from DOCX format to PDF format?

If you start with an unsaved and thus unnamed document and you have trhe Title property field completed with YXXXX, then whether you save as DOCX or PDF, that will be the default name offered to you.

If you save the document as YXXXX SUBMITTAL SECTION 0.docx then you SaveAs PDF you will be offered the name YXXXX SUBMITTAL SECTION 0.pdf.

Thank you for your quick response.

I have been saving the file names as you suggested, the PDF document is saving as file name only. But whenever i open the PDF document it shows as title name (YXXXX.PDF) Instead of YXXXX-SUBMITTAL SECTION 0.PDF.

    This Is word document details

How are you converting your document to PDF? Are you using the native built-in File/Export/Create PDF/XPS or are you using a PDF converter? If the latter, does the same issue occur when you use Word to create your PDF?
